NOTICE | Individual Stats Leaders
Even though FTP saw a record number of visitors/pageviews this season, it was the worst year for donations since I started the site in 2007.  Ad revenue was down too.  Because I needed to pay the bills, this week, I had to go back to a regular, 40-hour a week job, much earlier than I wanted to.  I have not had time to do the stats update.  The stats take about 8 total hours to complete, 5 hours for scoring, 3 for the goalies.   I will make an attempt to complete the final stats for the regular season on Saturday or Sunday.  Thank you for your patience.

Too Slick, Too Loud, Too Successful Why John Calipari Can't Catch A Break

To contact us Click HERE

The NCAA hasn't held him accountable for any major violation, and dark rumors about his recruiting methods have never stuck. Still, no matter what good the Kentucky coach does—visiting the sick, helping at-risk kids—he's assumed to have an ulterior motive.

S.L. Price There was a time, early on, when it seemed easy to peg John Calipari. Back in the late '80s he was just another pretty face, one more Pat Riley clone with the slick hair and dazzling patter, the just-so suits and shoes. Talent flocked to him, but he radiated a knockoff's flimsiness: too much talk and an ambition about as subtle as sharkskin. Opposing recruiters wanted to beat him bloody. Opposing coaches tried to sabotage his hiring. Omens? His first game as a head coach, the scoreboard caught fire. You just didn't figure Calipari for the long haul.

These days, of course, he is basketball's great survivor, the ever-moving (Gas up the private jet!), ever-hustling (four McDonald's All-Americans for 2011!), ever-tweeting (1.1 million followers!) head coach of the University of Kentucky. And while his eight-year, $31.7 million contract—the richest in the college game—is the most obvious measure of his success, it's hardly the most telling. Like the sharpest scavenger after a storm, Calipari has prospered more than any other coach in college basketball's broken system, gathering up top recruits, winning 30 games a season and then happily waving his one-and-done players goodbye. Last spring an unprecedented five Wildcats, four of them freshmen, went in the first round of the NBA draft. And if this season has been a relative struggle, most of Kentucky's rivals would gladly take a morning after that includes a 22--8 record, a No. 15 ranking, a 34-game home winning streak and more than enough talent to play deep into March.

Congress Has Too Much Time On It's Hands, $250 Mustache Tax Break

To contact us Click HERE
Washington-"A Republican congressman from Maryland is in a hairy situation over a proposal to give tax breaks to Americans with mustaches. The American Mustache Institute claimed Tuesday that Rep. Roscoe Bartlett had lent his support to the `Stache Act, which calls for a tax deduction of up to $250 a year for facial hair grooming. But Bartlett's office said he never supported the measure. Staffers said Wednesday that they only forwarded a copy of the proposal to the House Ways & Means Committee, without the congressman's knowledge, after receiving a media inquiry about it. That led the institute to believe Bartlett, who has long had a mustache, supported the measure. "For the record: Roscoe is pro-stache, but he does not believe Americans should pay for people's personal grooming decisions," Bartlett's chief of staff, Deborah Burrell, said in a statement. So far, no other representatives have supported the mustache proposal. At least one of Bartlett's Republican primary opponents is criticizing him over the facial hair flap. The longtime incumbent faces several challengers in the 6th District, which was redrawn to include more Democratic voters." Source: Mustache bill puts congressman in hairy situation

RINO's On The Run

Huh, really.

FreedomWorks bets big against Orrin Hatch

"Forget about Senate Democrats and President Barack Obama. FreedomWorks, the influential Washington-based tea party group, is now waging an all-out war on a member of its own party: Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), whose defeat would send a major statement to establishment Republicans that the tea party has staying power."

Federal records show that the group has virtually ignored incumbent Senate Democrats in its quest to take down the 35-year Senate veteran ahead of crucial statewide caucuses Thursday.
According to campaign finance filings, FreedomWorks has spent more than $615,000 to defeat Hatch — dumping cash to recruit volunteers, elect prospective convention delegates, send direct mail and launch TV and radio spots.
In contrast, the group has spent just $1,700 against incumbent Senate Democrats at this point, including against one who has since said he’d retire at year’s end: Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska. About $175,000 has been spent attacking Obama, with an additional $290,000 supporting GOP Senate candidates in other races, records show.
The group’s tactics are the latest chapter of the debate still hounding Republicans as they try to win a majority on Capitol Hill this November: Should they purge their own to find fresh blood who will be less willing to seek bipartisan compromises by straying from conservative principles? Or should they unite behind the most electable candidate and train all their fire power on Democrats?

The RINO, establishment republicans need to take heed to the people who vote. The old ways and canidates are a thing of the past.

Outfitters to open store nearLambeau Field in 2013
12:42 AM, May. 5, 2012ASHWAUBENON — Sporting goods superstore chain Cabela’s will anchor the gateway site to the Lambeau Development District in a move expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the area. Construction on the store is expected to begin within 60 days, and the store is set to open by July 2013.The addition of the Nebraska-based retailer to the 21-acre site on the southeast corner of the Lombardi Avenue/U.S. 41 intersection was announced Friday morning in front of nearly 50 people, mostly business leaders and local leaders.“We won Green Bay!” Cabela’s CEO Tommy Millner said, referencing previous talks ofBass Pro Shops possibly building a store at the site owned by the Green Bay Packers.

Read more at the Green Bay Press Gazette.WUPN: “We have to wonder why the paper didn’t talk to any democrats like Bob Jauch or Dale Schultz on this? Did anyone talk to Dave Hansen? A win for jobs, for Ashwaubenon, the Packers, the people of the area and a win for Scott Walker and the republicans in Wisconsin. This should be a commercial in the upcoming election.Remember this letter from the four dems last January from Wis Politics.”From Wis.

Watch Gulliver's Travel Online Free - Gulliver’s Travels (2010) movie was based on the 18th-century novel of the same name by Jonathan Swift, though the film takes place in the modern era. Gulliver’s Travels (2010) movie is the story of shipwrecked journalist named Gulliver. In this film he discovers an island in the heart of the Bermuda Triangle where Gulliver is the biggest occupant in comparison to its tiny inhabitants. The film stars Jack Black, Jason Segel, Emily Blunt, Amanda Peet and Chris O Dowd.

A few weeks ago we brought you a photo of one of the international posters for the film that appeared at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. This domestic version is slightly different because instead of it being a profile shot it shows Jack Black looking straight into the camera.

Gulliver’s Travels is based on the famous story of the same name (written by Jonathan Swift) and besides Black and Blunt will co-star Jason Segel and Amanda Peet. The film is directed by Rob Letterman from a screenplay by Joe Stillman and Nicholas Stoller (Get Him to the Greek, Forgetting Sarah Marshall).

Too Slick, Too Loud, Too Successful Why John Calipari Can't Catch A Break
