The Angels are finally trying to get some help for their bullpen which was their weakness last season. Ryan Madson signed with the Cincinnati Reds last season, but didn't play a single game because he had major elbow surgery.
From the LA Times:
Ryan Madson passed his physical, and the veteran reliever's one-year, $3.5-million deal with the Angels became official Wednesday.
Madson can make an additional $2.5 million based on the number of days he spends on the active roster and an additional $1 million in games-finished incentives.
Eight months removed from ligament-replacement surgery, there is a good chance that Madson, a 6-foot-6 right-hander from Moreno Valley, will start the 2013 season on the disabled list.Become a fan of Los Angeles Inspiration on FacebookFollow us on Twitter @LA_Inspiration
